What’s In a Name?

Everything! That is especially true of our new eView system. Over the last few months, AGS has worked diligently to give our clients a more active role in their own event planning. More than a birds-eye-view, this new system is the culmination of some incredible feedback from clients interested in seeing how AGS adds, manage and tracks event productions. The eView interface is customized for each client, giving them access to work orders, graphic proofs, up-to-date floor plans and diagrams, and a direct communication with their personal Account Executive.

We also decided to push the boundaries even further by giving our clients the ability to monitor their own stored materials — in any AGS warehouses across the country. Whether exhibit materials, corporate booths or event graphics, eView shows each AGS client real-time information about the status of their materials.

We are incredibly excited about including these features in our white glove exhibition offering to all of our clients. Because communication is part of our service philosophy, we remain committed to working hard to make every event and project a more connected and collaborative partnership!

Are You Ready to GO?

Leading the way forward in 2010 means integrating technology and service.  As AGS Expo Services expands its technological offerings, leveraging our experience to increase customer satisfaction, we are taking a grassroots approach to service by developing systems which offer the greatest customer experience.

When you think of innovation what comes to mind?  The small devices in our pockets; our cell phones or web ready devices, or any number of ways we now connect to the world around us.  For AGS, these are foundational ways to developing a better way forward for our exhibitors.  As events change so should your experience with AGS, and woven into this belief is our solid customer service philosophy.  Building on these concepts of flexibility, accessibility and service AGS has created GO Kiosk, a new on-site checkout kiosk system.  GO Kiosk will change the way exhibitors prepare their outbound materials for shipping.  Exhibitors will be able to setup Bills of Lading and prepare labels with the click of a button.  No more filling out long forms or labels.  By answering a few simple questions in conjunction with previously captured information, GO Kiosk will pre-populate Bills of Lading and labels, making it simple and easy to prepare your shipments.  But capturing information is only part of the service.  AGS GO Kiosk also takes physical paperwork out of the equation.  GO Kiosk will feature a fully interactive, logic driven checkout experience based completely on web technology.  GO Kiosk will email you copies of your Bills which are confirmed electronically by the on-site AGS Service Center.  Exhibitors can leave the event confident that their materials have been received by their appointed carriers.  No more asking the questions, “did my freight get shipped?” All of this is confirmed in real time and communicated to exhibitors via email.

AGS looks forward to offering this innovation to our clients and their exhibitors in late 2010.  If you would like to know more about this or other exhibitor service innovations, please contact us at info@ags-expo.com.

Going Green

posted in: Today! - No Comments

“Going green” remains an on-going effort made popular in the last few years. What does it mean in the trade show industry?

Many exposition companies have initiated goals of managing and lowering their environmental footprint, an effort which at any level should be commended.  In many cases, the best changes are the smallest ones.  These small changes when magnified across the entire industry create the undercurrent for greater change, both in the workplace and at home.

The exposition industry has for many years purchased and participated in the recycling of carpet, an act that helped to recover more than 261 million pounds of used carpet.  Similarly, many workplaces are shifting toward a paperless environment where the goal of using email communications, online ordering and electronic service manuals all foster the effort to “go green.”

AGS has strengthened its commitment to the future by implementing online ordering in 2009 with the ultimate goal of becoming a paperless work environment.  We ask you to join us in our effort to confront the challenges of tomorrow.  Your impact on the environment can be a strong one. See what your company can do to become a more ecologically friendly workplace.
