What’s In a Name?

Everything! That is especially true of our new eView system. Over the last few months, AGS has worked diligently to give our clients a more active role in their own event planning. More than a birds-eye-view, this new system is the culmination of some incredible feedback from clients interested in seeing how AGS adds, manage and tracks event productions. The eView interface is customized for each client, giving them access to work orders, graphic proofs, up-to-date floor plans and diagrams, and a direct communication with their personal Account Executive.

We also decided to push the boundaries even further by giving our clients the ability to monitor their own stored materials — in any AGS warehouses across the country. Whether exhibit materials, corporate booths or event graphics, eView shows each AGS client real-time information about the status of their materials.

We are incredibly excited about including these features in our white glove exhibition offering to all of our clients. Because communication is part of our service philosophy, we remain committed to working hard to make every event and project a more connected and collaborative partnership!

AGS Director of Operations Speaks at IAEE on Generational Study

posted in: News Release - No Comments

Las Vegas, NV – With the daunting task of exploring the host of news ways of communicating and reaching young professionals, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released its exhaustive findings just prior to the industry IAEE convention in Las Vegas, NV.  With CEIR partnering with IAEE they tasked Evan Garvey, Director of Operations for AGS Expo Services, based in Orlando, FL as well as several other speakers to take on the topic of marketing to Generation X & Millennials.

Garvey, as well as several other key-note speakers emphasized the significance of the study’s findings and offered practical tips on how to reach this Audience. “It becomes increasingly important to young people who are bombarded with social media information that information is conveyed briefly and offers value beyond pushing a product, event or service” said Garvey.

In addition to a quantitative study that was reviewed at the conference in tandem with the speakers, a Q&A session was held where IAEE was able to get insights from both panel speakers, Evan Garvey as well as Cathy Breden, CAE, CMP, Executive Director, Center for Exhibition Industry Research.  During this part of the discussion various tips were explored on practical application of the study’s findings.

Recession Spurs Tradeshow Innovation

posted in: News Release - No Comments

In the wake of the recession and back-to-back years of declining tradeshow participation and revenue, some tradeshow companies are focusing their attention on how best to use this critical time.  AGS Expo Services (AGS), a national exposition services company based in Orlando, FL, has decided to innovate. Utilizing a hybrid of technologies that promises to streamline the tradeshow experience for exhibitors — while also helping the company to minimize its costs — AGS is launching the AGS Exhibitor Kiosk in September 2010.

Exhibiting all of the benefits of a ‘high tech – high touch’ platform, the touch-screen kiosk enables exhibitors to automatically create electronic bills of lading. This removes the need for printouts, outdated information and manual updates–  replacing them with automated real-time email & online tracking.  In addition, the system automatically prints shipping labels just as an exhibitor is preparing to leave a show.  The kiosk, which captures and stores about 90% of the exhibitor’s information prior to the show, utilizes technology to help exhibitors validate a few fields, verify shipping and billing information and instantly print up to 20 labels. With this invention, industry insiders are predicting that AGS is bound to set a new standard of customer service in the expo services industry. AGS CEO, Mark Garvey, has pledged that the kiosk is ‘just the beginning of our commitment to finding ways to improve and streamline the expo experience for associations and exhibitor.” Comparing the work to those home improvements that just never seem get done, Garvey says that he and his associates ‘have collected feedback from our customers and plan to tackle their suggestions for improvement one-by-one. “

According to a recent survey by UFI, the Global Assn. of the Exhibition Industry, expectations are high for an economic turnaround in 2010.  An impressive 77 % of those surveyed feel confident that the tradeshow industry will see significant gains from previous years.  If this holds true, just as home improvement projects are likely to flourish again, so too will companies like AGS  who have used this time wisely to innovate their services and offer a more complete solution to customers.
